Directly or indirectly, you'll have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.Johns Hopkins Hospital PCCU Bloomberg 5 South (Progressive Cardiac Care Unit)Start: ASAPShift: rotatingWeekend: every otherOn Call: 1 per 6 week scheduleHolidays: as needed buy the unitFacilitating and coordinates of programs that may include hospital inpatients, outpatients, families, community, and employees of both the hospital and the university by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.Providing direction to/management of other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.Working collaboratively with, and providing leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that support quality, safety, and excellence in care.Participating in promoting and identifying quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty.Initiating and participate in the research activities relevant to specialty area.Implementing initiatives in area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.Required:RN License,2 years nursing experience, BLS, IMC experience;dysrhythmia managementRN will need experience with high acuity patients.2 or more previous travel assignmentsMultiple levels of care- Adult inpatientLevels of care vary from High Acuity IMC (managing low-dose pressors, mechanical ventilation via trach, unstable rhythms requiring TVP or epicardial pacing, continuous cardiac monitoring), IMC (dose-ordered vasoactive, continuous cardiac monitoring), Vent experience, tracheostomies, Aline, some Titrating gtts (Nitroglycerin, Insulin and Heparin) and experience/understanding of provider managed pressors and inotropes.1:3 ratio for IMC around the clockJohns HopkinsHealth Systemand its affiliatesare an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
