The HR Generalist & Talent Acquisition Specialist supports all aspects of human resources while leading full-cycle recruiting for an aircraft manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, quality, and leadership to attract, hire, and retain a skilled workforce in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The position ensures compliance with employment laws, company policies, and industry standards while supporting a positive and productive workplace culture.Duties and Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningLead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles, including assemblers, inspectors, engineers, technicians, and leadership positionsPartner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, job requirements, and staffing timelinesDevelop and manage job postings in the ATS (e.g., iCIMS), job boards, and external recruiting platformsSource candidates through agencies, referrals, job fairs, schools, and direct outreachScreen resumes, conduct interviews, coordinate hiring panels, and facilitate offer approvalsManage onboarding processes including background checks, drug screening, and orientationMaintain strong relationships with staffing agencies and external recruiting partnersTrack recruiting metrics and provide regular hiring updates to leadershipHR Generalist ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted HR partner for employees and leaders across the plantSupport employee relations matters, including coaching, performance management, and corrective actionsAssist with investigations and ensure fair, consistent application of company policiesAdminister HR programs including benefits enrollment, leave of absence, attendance tracking, and employee recordsSupport performance review cycles and employee development initiativesAssist with training coordination, compliance training, and documentationMaintain accurate personnel files and HRIS/ATS data in accordance with regulatory requirementsCompliance & Manufacturing Environment SupportEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)Support audits and documentation requirements related to FAA, AS9100, ISO, and customer standardsAssist with safety-related HR processes and coordination with EHSUphold confidentiality and professionalism in a regulated aerospace manufacturing settingSupervisory Responsibilities:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.RequiredBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)3-5 years of HR Generalist and/or Talent Acquisition experienceExperience supporting hourly manufacturing or industrial environmentsKnowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience using HRIS and Applicant Tracking SystemsPreferredAerospace or aircraft manufacturing experienceHigh-volume hourly recruiting experienceSHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certificationExperience with temp-to-perm or contract labor modelsKey CompetenciesStrong sense of urgency and ability to manage competing prioritiesCollaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetProfessional judgment and discretionAbility to influence and partner with leaders at all levelsComfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsRegular presence on the manufacturing floorAbility to work extended hours during high-volume hiring periods as neededCompliance with PPE and safety requirements
