With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.JOB SUMMARY:Supervises assigned electrical and multi-craft maintenance technicians to achieve plant performance goals through effective problem resolution, labor utilization, repairs and continuous maintenance improvementsJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provide clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations.Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventative actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks.Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.).Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner.Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures.Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible.Sets goals for their organizations unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.Implement and lead plant safety objectives within department Responsible for individual and team development and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance and process excellenceEstablish team and individual accountabilities for problem solving and cost reduction. Supervise and direct immediate repairs on equipmentEnsure effective labor utilization within department to allow for maximum return on labor investment. Supervise/manage direct reports (including decision-making for hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and discharge).Ensure coordination of planned down time with scheduleMaintain ISO compliant maintenance records. Assist with site regulatory compliance. Assist with budget development and spending control for department. Ensures effective 6s implementation. Assists with stockroom inventory management and cost control. Partner with Human Resources to ensure effective management of human capital. Trains backup and others as designated in all tasks. Additional duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Six Sigma Black or Green belt preferredProfessional certification preferred (CMRT or other relevant certification) OSHA 30 hour certification Certified or eligible to become certified CPR/First Aid/BBP At least 3 years in Maintenance and one (1) year in a direct supervisory role. Must havein-depth knowledge and experience of industrial electrical maintenance/engineering principles and techniques.COMPETENCIES:Coaching- Able to guide employees in their development and help them assume their responsibilities. The employee will be required to enter permit and non-permit required confined spaces. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; dust; heat; humidity, odors. The noise level in the work environment varies and hearing protection is required in some work areas. The employee is frequently exposed to extremely high speed machinery with open inward turning rolls, extremely hot surface areas and moving lift truck traffic.
