This role ensures communication and electronic systems are properly installed, integrated, and tested in accordance with technical specifications and site requirements.The position requires strong hands-on technical skills, troubleshooting ability, and the ability to work directly with customers in field environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport coordination and execution of:Site surveysSite preparation activitiesSystem installationsSystem cutoversLegacy system decommissioningPerform testing to validate power, grounding, and cabling installationsVerify installations meet equipment specifications and site requirementsInstall mobile and fixed-base radio systems, including:AntennasTransceiversAmplifiersPower suppliesIntegrate radio systems with vehicle electronics, control systems, or IT/network infrastructureAssist in ensuring reliable voice and data transmissionConduct testing and calibration using tools such as:SWR metersWattmetersSignal generatorsTroubleshoot and resolve technical and signal performance issuesDocument installation, configuration, and testing resultsProvide on-site customer support and technical assistanceRequired Qualifications5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years in lieu of degreeUS Citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust clearanceExperience in electronics, communications, or radio system installationKnowledge of RF fundamentals and antenna systemsExperience working with mobile or fixed communication systemsAbility to use RF test and diagnostic equipmentStrong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skillsAbility to read technical drawings, schematics, and installation diagramsExperience validating cabling and power installationsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work in field environments and travel as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience in telecommunications, public safety, defense, or transportation communication systemsFamiliarity with system cutover and legacy system removal activitiesExperience working on multi-site deployment projectsBasic knowledge of network integration for voice/data systemsPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
