The Paramedic participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health care services and task. The role of the Paramedic Nurse Extender also, includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and the oversight of unlicensed personnel.EducationH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredWork Experience1 year of experience as a Paramedic with high volume 911 experienceLicenses and CertificationsBCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification Upon Hire Required andACLS Upon Hire Required andPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Paramedics new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 120 Days RequiredLP - Licensed Paramedic Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia and National Registry PreferredPiedmont Fayette Hospital
