Take the next step in your career with us!, Position Specific DescriptionThis position will report to the Solar ,Storage Environmental Leader, under the Power Generation Team, and will work out of the Southern California facilities with responsibility for the West Region. Travel will be required 50% of the time to 12 of our Solar ,Storage facilities ranging from Mid/Southern California to Northern California.Regional Environmental Specialist responsibilities:Regional Environmental Program oversight and supportCompliance Assurance ⓠContinuous verification Solar ,Storage Environmental Management System (EMS) processes and procedures are executed in the fieldQuarterly site operations environmental compliance assessmentManage Compliance Management tracker tasks and deadlinesPreparation and support during internal and external environmental auditsEnvironmental agency interface - Local point of contact for agency inquiries and site visitsEnvironmental Event Response - Field support and management of environmental issuesProactively identify and resolve site specific compliance issues to prevent or minimize environmental impacts during eventsPerform internal and external reporting on environmental issuesPerform / support root cause analysis for environmental eventsEnvironmental Compliance Program ⓠMaintain site compliance with permit conditions and agency requirementsPerform site compliance routines ahead of due datePerform routine and non-routine agency reportingEnvironmental contractor management and oversightStormwater management system maintenance, conservation lands vegetation management, wildlife trapping, oil spill responsePerform regional staff environmental awareness and compliance trainingTransition to Operations supportIncorporate new site into Solar ,Storage Environmental Management System (EMS).Create procedures ,PMs for permit or agency required compliance routinesReview / provide feedback on operations environmental documents generated by E,C ⓠSPCCIdentify and resolve operations related environmental issues prior to CODCivil/stormwater managementHazardous material managementWater use permitting and well managementAgency correspondence / reportingEnvironmental record retention / managementRegional Solar Operations supportJob OverviewEmployees in this role are responsible for assuring execution of the PGD Environmental Management System and ensuring plant water chemistry parameters are maintained in accordance with fleet recommendations.Job Duties ,ResponsibilitiesMaintains water chemistry Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) program and communicates corrective measures to the site/plantConducts sampling activities as needed by site environmental permittingCompletes required reporting to local/state/federal agenciesConducts routine self-inspectionsOversees the plant or site safety program as requiredPerforms other job-related duties as assigned ,
