Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity where you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate appropriate collection actions. u2022 Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances. u2022 Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate customers and update account records accordingly. u2022 Prepare and send collection correspondence to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies. u2022 Document account statuses and maintain accurate records of all interactions and payment agreements. u2022 Assist in resolving customer service issues related to collections, providing attentive and timely support. u2022 Generate monthly reports detailing delinquent accounts and collection activities. u2022 Support workout arrangements and write-offs as necessary, ensuring proper documentation. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve collection processes and enhance efficiency. u2022 Utilize tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Excel to track and analyze account data. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in collections or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, with experience in formulas and data analysis. u2022 Familiarity with commercial and consumer collections processes. u2022 Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a detail-oriented approach. u2022 Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Experience with platforms like Salesforce is highly desirable. u2022 Knowledge of commercial lending and leasing practices is a plus. u2022 Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
