Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Waller, Texas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial analysis, account reconciliation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy while supporting broader organizational objectives. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and record journal entries with precision, ensuring accuracy within the established accounting system. u2022 Maintain thorough documentation of revenue streams and expense transactions to support financial integrity. u2022 Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. u2022 Oversee month-end closing procedures, meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. u2022 Support audits by collaborating with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and insights. u2022 Conduct financial analysis and participate in special projects to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Uphold internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures. u2022 Perform invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions with accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Analyze financial statements and operating results, explaining variances and identifying trends. u2022 Execute manual reconciliations and balance sheet reviews to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Strong expertise in account reconciliation and financial analysis. u2022 Experience with project cost accounting and budget comparisons. u2022 Advanced knowledge of SAP is required. u2022 Familiarity with internal controls and compliance standards. u2022 Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to support decision-making. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
