Job Title: Janitor/Custodian - Weekend Shift Job Description This position involves performing custodial duties at a manufacturing facility. The role requires handling tasks such as trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms. Additionally, there will be occasional cleaning of packaging and minor debris resulting from facility construction. This role necessitates working independently with minimal supervision and involves a significant amount of walking due to the large size of the facility. All necessary equipment and supplies will be provided, and the individual will be responsible for notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered. As the team and facility expand, there is potential for career advancement. Responsibilities + Perform all custodial duties including trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms. + Temporarily clean up packaging and minor construction debris. + Work independently with minimal supervision. + Notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishing. + Ensure the facility remains clean and organized. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial or custodial roles. + Strong understanding of daily cleaning needs based on previous experience. + Capability to work independently and efficiently. + Experience in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with floor maintenance, including the use of floor scrubbers and ride-on equipment. + Experience with side-by-side floor maintenance equipment. Work Environment The position is for a weekend shift, working from 8am-5pm, Saturday through Wednesday, totaling 40 hours per week with almost no overtime. The large facility requires significant walking, and all necessary cleaning equipment and supplies will be provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookshire, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
