Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our clients team on a contract basis in Melville, New York. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in preparing individual tax returns, including complex filings such as 1040 forms. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare individual tax returns (1040) with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Handle more complex tax filings beyond basic returns, ensuring compliance with all regulations. u2022 Review financial documents and data to ensure proper documentation for tax preparation. u2022 Provide expert advice and recommendations on tax-related issues to clients. u2022 Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings. u2022 Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify tax-related queries. u2022 Ensure timely submission of all tax filings and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise. u2022 Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial data. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns (1040). u2022 Knowledge of complex tax filings and related regulations. u2022 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. u2022 Excellent communication skills for client interaction and query resolution. u2022 Proficiency in relevant tax preparation software. u2022 Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of work.
