Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is partnering with our client in Bradenton, Florida to hire a Family Practice Medical Assistant . This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a busy primary care clinic that serves patients across the lifespan. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume. Position Details Type: Direct Hire Schedule: Monday u2013 Friday, 8:00 AM u2013 5:00 PM Pay Range: $22 to $25/hr (based on experience) Location: Bradenton, FL Responsibilities u00b7 Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and clinical information for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients u00b7 Interview patients and families and accurately chart findings in the electronic medical record u00b7 Prepare patients for exams and procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy u00b7 Assist family practice providers with exams and procedures, including preventive care visits, minor procedures, wound care, and suture removal u00b7 Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care u00b7 Triage walk-in and phone patients, providing appropriate clinical guidance and accurate documentation u00b7 Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders and established protocols u00b7 Complete medication prior authorizations, DME requests, and referrals in a timely manner u00b7 Perform EKGs during triage as needed u00b7 Collect, process, and prepare laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing u00b7 Ensure provider orders are communicated to and followed through with appropriate departments u00b7 Maintain accurate medical forms and reports (physical exams, work/school excuses, proof of pregnancy, etc.) u00b7 Maintain smooth patient flow and assist with room turnover throughout the clinic day u00b7 Inventory and stock exam rooms daily u00b7 Clean, pack, and properly handle medical instruments according to infection control standards u00b7 Review and prepare medical records at least two days prior to scheduled patient visits u00b7 Maintain open and effective communication with nursing leadership, providers, supervisors, and peers u00b7 Adhere to time and attendance policies as outlined in the employee handbook u00b7 Float to alternate clinic locations as needed to ensure adequate site coverage u00b7 Perform other duties as assigned Requirements u00b7 Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) u00b7 1u20132 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred (family practice or primary care experience strongly preferred) u00b7 Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute) u00b7 Experience supporting patients across the lifespan u00b7 Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills u00b7 Valid government- or state-issued ID Client Benefits include u2022 10 PTO days and 10 paid holidays u2022 Medical, Dental and Vision insurance options available IMPORTANT: This Family Practice Medical Assistant role is being recruited for by Adeccou2019s Healthcare & Life Sciences division, not your local Adecco Branch Office.
