Terminal Operator

Aerotek is hiring for a Terminal Operator for $21/hr with WEEKLY pay Job Description As a Terminal Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing silica materials and ensuring efficient operations at the facility. This role involves various tasks related to the handling, packaging, and transportation of materials, ensuring that they meet order specifications. Responsibilities + Attach large bags to a chute to catch silica material, operating a lever to control the volume according to the order specifications. Monitor the weight using scales. + Lift 50 lb bags from a waist-high table and stack them on a pallet. Bags are produced every 30 seconds. + Seal and scan labels onto filled bags of material. + Operate a forklift after the initial one-month contract, following training. + Drive trucks within the facility, not on roads, after completing the first month and undergoing training. + Maintain cleanliness of workstations. Essential Skills + Experience in general labor and handling tools. + Proficiency in packing and packaging. + Ability to consistently lift 50 lb. + Capability to get a respirator fit. + Familiarity with loading and unloading in hot and cold environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in construction, picking, oil, and gas industries. Why Work Here? Enjoy an annual raise, capping at $23 per hour after the third year. Enjoy a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks, although they are not mandatory. Be prepared for a flexible workweek ranging from 5 to 7 days. Flexibility for any shift is essential.
