Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Blue Ash, Ohio. In this role, you will handle incoming payments, reconcile accounts, and recover outstanding balances while maintaining positive relationships with customers. This position requires strong attention to detail and expertise in collection processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and post incoming payments accurately and efficiently. u2022 Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all records are up-to-date and precise. u2022 Contact customers to collect overdue balances while maintaining a detail-oriented and courteous approach. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve collection issues. u2022 Generate reports detailing collection activities and account statuses. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all collection efforts. u2022 Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment plans when necessary. u2022 Maintain accurate documentation of all collection interactions and transactions. u2022 Provide recommendations for improving collection strategies and processes. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in commercial collections or a related field. u2022 Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes. u2022 Familiarity with billing and payment reconciliation procedures. u2022 Excellent communication and negotiation skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. u2022 Proficiency in relevant software and tools for collections. u2022 Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. u2022 Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
