Assembly Technician

Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of test equipment, including our flagship model, the 'Eclipse' test machine. The role involves building machines from blueprints, completing plumbing, and electrical wiring using hand tools and power tools. This position requires a commitment to quality and precision. Responsibilities + Assemble machines from blueprints. + Perform plumbing and electrical wiring tasks. + Use hand tools and power tools to build equipment. + Ensure quality and precision in all assembly tasks. Essential Skills + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Proficiency in using screwdrivers, impact guns, pliers, and allen wrenches. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Mechanical aptitude to assemble from a print or diagram. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is part of a leading company in the manufacturing and assembly of pathology, histology, necropsy, and morgue equipment. The work environment is clean and well-organized, with a total of 84 employees and 10 welders in the welding group. The dress code requires working attire, a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel toe boots. The facility encompasses multiple areas for work in process, including departments such as Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving. Employees start with raw materials and create finished products all under one roof. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Heights, MI.
