Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. This hybrid position requires onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, offering the opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial operations and a commitment to accuracy and organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls. u2022 Manage procure-to-pay cycles and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. u2022 Utilize SAP R/3 and ERP solutions to maintain financial records and support accounting functions. u2022 Collaborate with stakeholders, including vendors and business units, to address inquiries and improve processes. u2022 Perform regular checks to ensure compliance with submission guidelines and internal standards. u2022 Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable operations. u2022 Maintain clear communication with team members and external partners to ensure smooth workflows. u2022 Support hiring processes and onboarding related to accounts payable functions, as needed. u2022 Review and reconcile accounts payable reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. u2022 Monitor adherence to company policies while handling financial transactions. Requirements u2022 High School diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. u2022 Experience with SAP R/3 and other ERP solutions. u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational abilities. u2022 Knowledge of accounts payable, finance, and general accounting principles. u2022 Preferred certifications: Accounts Payable Specialist or Certified Accounts Payable Associate. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, with onsite presence required on specific days.
