Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Canton, Massachusetts. This is a Contract to permanent position within the manufacturing industry, offering a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy in financial records. u2022 Process and review accounts payable reports, including posting bills and ensuring proper documentation. u2022 Analyze accounts receivable aging and assist in maintaining collections processes. u2022 Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger to support daily accounting operations. u2022 Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements, including sales tax and corporate tax returns. u2022 Utilize NetSuite for accounting tasks and reporting. u2022 Apply advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to support data analysis. u2022 Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while providing support during audits. u2022 Assist with additional accounting projects as needed to support the organization. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Proficiency in NetSuite software for accounting operations and reporting. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions. u2022 Familiarity with corporate tax processes and sales tax compliance. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Ability to reconcile financial accounts and maintain accurate records. u2022 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
