Overview: PeopleReady is seeking experienced Area Sales Managers to leada high-performing sales team within an assigned market. This role isresponsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, andbuilding strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a strategicleader with proven success in B2B sales and team development, preferablywithin the staffing industry. Candidates must reside within the identified areasbelow and be comfortable with 60% travel. Locations: New England Area(NY, CT, MA) The Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team oflocal sales professionals to grow market share, deepen clientrelationships, and deliver staffing solutions that meet customer needs.This role is highly visible in the market, requiring strong leadership,strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to sales execution.Responsibilities: Hire, retain and lead a team of local salesrepresentatives to achieve revenue targets and quota attainment. Driveand manage a disciplined pipeline management process. Execute and modelsales playbook and methodology. Drive acquisition of new customers andrevenue. Actively represent PeopleReady in the market through clientvisits, networking events, and community engagement. Build and maintainstrong relationships with key clients, partnering on high-value dealsand ensuring satisfaction. Support reps in identifying and pursuing newbusiness opportunities through prospecting and outreach. Conductbi-weekly funnel reviews, analyze sales metrics, and provide actionablefeedback to drive results. Partner with operations, recruitment,marketing, and sales enablement to ensure seamless service delivery.Monitor competitor activity, customer feedback, and industry trends toinform strategy and identify growth opportunities. SupervisoryResponsibilities: This position will directly manage up to 12 individualcontributor Business Development Managers responsible for driving theacquisition of new customers and facilitating the expansion of existingaccounts within their local market. Key Performance Indicators: NewBusiness Revenue: Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for new clientrevenue. Client Retention Rate: Maintain or improve retention oftop-tier clients Sales Rep Quota Attainment: Ensure 70%+ of team membersmeet or exceed individual quotas. Pipeline Health: Maintain a minimum 3xpipeline coverage relative to monthly revenue goals. Client Meetings:Conduct or support a minimum of 10 in-person client meetings per month.Top Deal Engagement: Actively support top 10% of deals by value in theregion. CRM Utilization: Ensure 100% of reps log all activity andopportunities in Salesforce. Team Development: Conduct monthly coachingsessions and quarterly performance reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Marketing, or related field. 5 or more years historyof success in sales roles, ideally with career progression, preferablyB2B. 3 or more years of sales leadership experience in staffing industryor similar experience. Proven success in leading sales teams and drivingmarket growth. Experience coaching and developing others. Stronginterpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to analyzedata and make informed decisions. Proficiency with CRM platforms(Salesforce preferred). Willingness to travel within the assigned market(approx. 60% field time).
