Job Description

Job Title: Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled electrician to install, test, maintain, and repair electrical or electronic wiring, motors, light fixtures, electric panels, and more. The role involves connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components, as well as installing low voltage and multimedia cabling. The electrician will perform custom electronic design and installation, diagnose malfunctioning systems, and ensure compliance with electrical codes. Responsibilities + Install and repair electrical wiring, motors, light fixtures, electric panels, and other components. + Perform custom electronic design and installation. + Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools. + Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes. + Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment. + Bend conduit and pull insulated wires or cables to complete circuits. + Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. + Participate in training of apprentices and other workers. + Perform general building maintenance and drive vehicles as needed. Essential Skills + 5 years of verifiable journey level experience in the electrical field. + Proficiency in electrical schematic reading, blueprint reading, wiring, and assembly. + Skills in conduit bending and pulling wire. + Experience with low voltage systems, motors, and electric panels. + Ability to troubleshoot and perform installations. + Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and industrial lighting. + Understanding of applicable building codes and regulations. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair. + Ability to perform routine maintenance and determine required repairs. + Proficiency with craft-related hand and power tools such as drills, conduit benders, and meters. The role requires effective communication, equipment handling, and the ability to remain stationary or move as needed. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, and possess good vision and depth perception. The position requires performing essential functions with or without accommodation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.71 - $46.15/hr.
