Utility Operator

Job Title: Utility Operator Job Description As a Utility Operator, you will be responsible for receiving scrap metal using a crane, operating a forklift to move the metal, identifying different types of metal, and depositing the metal into the correct furnaces. Responsibilities + Operate forklifts and cranes to handle and move scrap metal. + Identify different types of metals and ensure they are processed correctly. + Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. + Follow job-specific work instructions related to assignments. + Perform physically demanding tasks, including walking up and down plant stairs multiple times an hour. Essential Skills + Proficient in operating forklifts and cranes. + Experience in material handling and inventory management. + Capability to perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of machine operation and sitdown forklift driving. + Ability to work efficiently in a heavy industrial setting. Work Environment Work in a dynamic and fast-paced industrial facility where safety is a priority. The role demands physical endurance as you will be moving heavy materials and walking extensively. The schedule requires openness to both day and night shifts, providing the opportunity for a balanced work-life schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.04 - $23.04/hr.
