As Associate Patient Care Coordinator , we are often the first point of contact for our patients and their families. As such we value representing an important first impression. We are diligent in obtaining complete and accurate insurance and demographic information in a timely manner, this enables us to provide high quality, compassionate health care service to all who need them, regardless of their ability to pay. Positions may be available in the following areas: Emergency Room, Operating Room, Outpatient, Infusion, Maternal Child and Transplant Services. Location : 3555 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert, AZ 85297 and 1955 W. Frye Rs, Chandler, AZ Schedule: Flexible schedule based on candidates' availability and the need of the team. Candidates must be able to work 8-hours shifts, day and night hours, 4 weekends per month, and 1 major holiday a year. Primary Responsibilities: + Communicates directly with patients and / or families either in person or on the phone to complete the registration process by collecting patient demographics, health information, and verifying insurance eligibility / benefits + Responds to patient and caregivers' inquiries related to routine and sensitive topics always in a compassionate and respectful manner + Utilizes computer systems to enter, access or verify patient data in real - time ensuring accuracy and completeness of information + Positions for this function will be responsible for checking in and obtaining all demographics and insurance information for patients + Answering billing questions + Deliver and create patient estimates based off insurance benefits You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: + High School Diploma/GED (or higher) + 6+ months of experience in an office setting, customer service setting (over the phone or face to face), phone support role or call center environment + Beginner level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications Preferred Qualifications: + 1+ years of registration experience in a hospital OR medical setting + Understanding of medical terminology + Working knowledge of insurance policies and procedures and patient care setting PLEASE NOTE The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
