Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Disbursement Team Lead to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This hybrid contract-to- possible permanent position offers the opportunity to lead and mentor a team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines while contributing to both short-term and long-term goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the disbursement process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice coding and payment disbursements. u2022 Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounts payable team, encouraging growth and development with attention to detail. u2022 Manage 1099 processing, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines. u2022 Deliver presentations and lead discussions in small group settings or team meetings. u2022 Utilize intermediate-level skills in Excel, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams to streamline workflows and reporting. u2022 Plan and execute intermediate and long-term financial projects with a focus on meeting deadlines. u2022 Learn and adapt to new financial software and tools as required. u2022 Maintain organization and prioritize tasks to meet daily operational goals. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in disbursement and financial management. u2022 Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams. u2022 Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet daily, intermediate, and long-term deadlines. u2022 Familiarity with 1099 processing and compliance requirements. u2022 Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems quickly. u2022 Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities. u2022 Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
