Description: Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is looking for an Energetic student pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar engineering focused degree for a 2026 Summer Internship. The selected candidate will be learning and working on a multi-company engineering team supporting the National Team - Engineering (NT-E) program for the Missile Defense Agency. There are multiple opportunities available on different teams throughout the program, and each has a more focused specialty. The selected candidate would be matched to a suitable team for their degree background and interests. Potential opportunities include - Model Based System Engineering - Modeling and Simulations - Sensors, Missiles, Command and Control - Performance analysis - Software tooling - System requirements development - Test verification - and more Basic Qualifications: Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access - Pursuing a degree in related engineering discipline - Aerospace, Electrical (RF especially), & Systems are most common, but other related engineering fields are welcome - Strong problem solving skills - Highly Motivated, willing to take on challenging assignments and learn about the Nation's Ballistic Missile Defense System Desired Skills: Working Knowledge of: - Architectural Design - CAD, UML, SysML, etc. - Requirements development - Use Case development - Working knowledge of a programming language - MATLAB, Python, etc.- Experience with change control system such as SVN - Previous system performance analysis experience (internships, school projects, etc.) Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
