DescriptionThe Physical Therapist (PT) is an important member of our interdisciplinary team, providing direct clinical services within Swedish Pain Services (SPS). This includes working in both our outpatient Functional Restoration Center and our hospital-based Pain Management Suite.The SPS Functional Restoration Center offers comprehensive outpatient pain management through an interdisciplinary approach. Our services include behavioral health, physical and occupational therapy, and structured Functional Restoration Programs (SFRP).These structured programs include:Individual and group physical and occupational therapyBehavioral health support (cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness training)Relaxation trainingAerobic exerciseNursing educationOn-site pain medicine provided by our therapy teamProgram sessions run 4-5 hours per day, 3 days per week, for 4 weeks, with opportunities for additional followup and longterm care.Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Required Qualifications:A graduate of an accredited program of physical therapyupon hire: Washington Physical Therapist Licenseupon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationStrong understanding of bio psychosocial model of chronic painAbility to learn and/or integrate the latest concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plansStrong orthopedic backgroundHighly developed interpersonal, and counseling skills requiredDemonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projectsAbility to work with a diverse patient and staff populationAbility to work effectively with groupsAbility to develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians and other health care professionals within and outside SwedishAbility to work in different settings as required by system needsPreferred Qualifications:Women's health continuing education or certification experiencePain Neuroscience continuing education or certification as therapeutic pain specialistGraduation from accredited DPT programExperience in ortho, neuro, cancer, cardiac or other designated specialty populations based on campus needsExperience treating chronic painWhy Join Providence Swedish?Our best-in-class benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security.
