Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will design and deliver 3D models and drawings for mechanical structures and mechanisms supporting ground systems and Tooling at LC-36 and the Rocket Factory. You will apply drafting standards and GD&T, create build-to and installation packages, manage product structures and change notices in Windchill, perform model and drawing checks, and collaborate with build and field teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time execution.Special Mentions:Relocation providedTravel expected up to 20% of the timeShifts available: Day shiftResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Create and maintain Creo models and detailed drawings for structures, mechanisms, weldments, and machined partsApply ASME Y14.5 GD&T, Y14.100, and Y14.41 standards to communicate design intent and inspection criteriaUse Creo AFX to develop structural frameworks, platforms, and support assembliesGenerate build-to and installation packages and incorporate redlines from field fit-upManage product structures, BOMs, and configuration baselines in Windchill; drive change notices through release reviewsPerform model and drawing check activities and support continuous improvement of drafting standardsCoordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and site operations to resolve design and build issuesManage large assemblies and maintain performance and data integrity within PLMMentor junior drafters and support peer reviews to elevate team qualitySupport the authoring and maintaining of department documents, best practices, templates, and standards for CAD, drafting, and PLM processes; develop checklists and training materials and help drive adoption across the teamMinimum Qualifications:AS in Drafting/Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent practical experience8+ years of mechanical drafting and technical design experience using Creo and WindchillProficiency with Creo AFX for structural assembliesStrong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T, Y14.100, and Y14.41Proven experience creating fabrication and installation drawings for structures, mechanisms, weldments, and machined partsExperience in drawing generation, checking, release processes, and configuration management within PLMAbility to work autonomously in a fast paced environment and collaborate with cross functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with structural steel, sheet metal, fasteners, and common fabrication and assembly methodsBackground supporting ground support equipment, platforms, fixtures, lifting and rigging interfaces, and mechanismsExperience developing installation packages, incorporating redlines, and supporting field validationAdvanced Creo skills (large assembly management, drawing automation, MBD) and strong Windchill configuration control practicesExperience leading peer reviews, mentoring, and driving standard work within CAD and PLM processesCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $39.34 - $55.07Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
