Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of TeraWave, a satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This network will service tens of thousands of enterprise, data center, and government users who require reliable connectivity for critical operations.We are seeking an RFIC Design Engineer to design and develop advanced integrated circuits for our revolutionary TeraWave satellite communications network. This role will be instrumental in creating the RF components that enable our constellation to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps globally. The ideal candidate brings expertise in RF circuit design, semiconductor technologies, and satellite communications, thriving in a fast-paced environment where innovation meets mission-critical execution.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design and develop ASICs and RFICs that meet the stringent standards of satellite communication, ensuring high performance and efficiencyCreate Q/V-band RF front-end components including LNAs, PAs, mixers, and filters for satellite applicationsImplement advanced RF processing technologies that support satellite missions with reduced size, weight, and power (SWaP)Develop high-frequency circuit designs for both LEO and MEO satellite platformsPerform circuit simulations, layout, and verification of RF integrated circuitsCollaborate with system engineers to define RFIC specifications and requirementsUtilize data analytics to optimize ASIC performance and drive innovation in satellite communicationDesign for radiation tolerance and reliability in the space environmentSupport prototype testing, characterization, and qualification of RF componentsWork with semiconductor foundries and packaging vendors to ensure manufacturabilityDocument design processes, test results, and performance characteristicsTroubleshoot and resolve design issues throughout the development cycleMinimum Qualifications:B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field5+ years of experience in RFIC/MMIC design for communications applicationsDemonstrated expertise in RF circuit design techniques and methodologiesExperience with industry-standard EDA tools for RF design and simulationKnowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and design rulesUnderstanding of RF measurements and test methodologiesExperience with high-frequency designs (Ka-band and above)Preferred Qualifications:M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/microwave designExperience with Q/V-band circuit design for satellite communicationsKnowledge of radiation effects on semiconductor devicesExperience with GaN, GaAs, SiGe, or other advanced semiconductor processesBackground in phased array systems or beamforming networksExperience with power amplifier design and efficiency optimization techniquesUnderstanding of digital signal processing integration with RF componentsFamiliarity with space qualification requirements for electronic componentsCompensation Range for:CA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70WA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
