Senior Process Mechanical Estimator -- Western US

Weu2019re seeking a Senior Process Mechanical Estimator with estimating experience to support projects for our Water and Wastewater Line of Business. The types of projects include water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, sewer collection systems, and other heavy civil projects.We'll be considering qualified candidates who reside in the Western region of U.S.A.Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow.Key Responsibilities:u2022 Develop construction cost estimates for Water and Wastewater systems, including but not limited to pipelines, process piping, and process equipment. The ability to estimate heavy civil, structural, and architectural disciplines is a plus.u2022 Apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of conceptual estimates when minimal design drawing and information are available.u2022 Review and interpret plans and specifications from multiple design phases; program, conceptual, design development through 100% construction documentsu2022 Review and validate change orders.u2022 Ability to develop work breakdown structure for complex projects to provide clear and logical cost estimates.u2022 Ability to write a narrative Basis of Estimate to accurately describe the estimating methodology and assumptions.u2022 Ability to generate quantity takeoffs and calculate costs using labor rates, production rates, and material pricing schedules and historical data.u2022 Ability to develop capital cost estimates for water/wastewater/pipeline projectsu2022 Solicits cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.u2022 Understand construction market trends and the implications for estimating.u2022 Contribute to risk analyses, value engineering, and constructability exercises.u2022 Review and validate contractor proposals for various project delivery typesu2022 Demonstrates an ability to be responsible for completion of tasks without supervisionu2022 Possess good verbal and written communication skills.u2022 Be able to effectively communicate complex estimating information to project teams.#LI-HA1 10 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility required.u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field is desirable.
