Unlock your potential Job Summary and Qualifications GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Performs non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations and writes test results. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: u00b7 Perform vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians. u00b7 Scheduling patients for procedures u00b7 Explaining procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results. u00b7 Positioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer u00b7 Conducting scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving scanner over specified body area and adjusting equipment to focus u00b7 Performs exams properly and in a timely manner u00b7 Takes patient history and retrieves previous files u00b7 Coordinates patient flow and checks daily list to ensure all exams are complete u00b7 Maintaining equipment u00b7 Ordering and stocking all supplies u00b7 Maintain department records, reports and files u00b7 Perform other duties as required u00b7 Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures u00b7 Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements EDUCATION: u00b7 No education requirements EXPERIENCE: u00b7 Minimum one-year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: u00b7 Must be hold one or more of the following credentials: Registered Vascular Tech, Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in accordance with state regulation and clinical specialty + Must have certification through ARDMS OR ARRT. + KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: u00b7 Knowledge of vascular sonography u00b7 Must have sufficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology pertaining to vascular examinations u00b7 Skill in problem solving u00b7 Skill in organization u00b7 Skill in taking vital signs u00b7 Skill in using basic office equipment, including computer, telephone, photocopier, and fax machine u00b7 Ability to operate ultrasound equipment in vascular lab u00b7 Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively under stress. u00b7 Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others. u00b7 Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally Supporting HCA Healthcare's 186 hospitals and 2,400+ sites of care, Physician Services plays a crucial role as the main entry point for patients looking for high-quality healthcare within the HCA Healthcare system.
