DescriptionReady to drive financial excellence across Amazon's most dynamic shopping experiences? We're seeking a Sr Financial Analyst to lead cost management and optimization initiatives for the Core Shopping organization. Core Shopping team builds experiences and systems (e.g., Homepage, Navigation, Detail Page, Offer Ranking & Display, Reviews, Lists, Alexa Shopping) that enable customers to discover, evaluate, and purchase, any product from anywhere, across all devices. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, excel at stakeholder management, and thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities. Your financial expertise will directly influence how Core Shopping optimizes costs while scaling innovative customer experiences that support millions of customer interactions daily. You'll be the financial steward for Core Shopping costs, balancing operational efficiency with strategic growth investments. Key job responsibilities - Manage $500MM budget across multiple cost categories - Develop forecasting models and partner with business teams to evaluate financial trade-offs balancing operational efficiency with strategic growth investments - Take on ambiguous challenges and develop frameworks with KPIs to measure success - Synthesize complex data into actionable insights for business partner teams - Lead automation efforts of critical processes; and - Lead monthly/quarterly/annual planning and forecasting cyclesBasic Qualifications- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)Preferred Qualifications- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
