This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see:Essential Functions- Subject to management approval, serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Department of Innovation and Technology supporting the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) establishing, interpreting, and implementing policies, procedures, and goals for the total management process of the Office which has statewide impact.- Plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises professional staff responsible for operational areas of Information Security & Audit Compliance, Financial & Support Services, Customer Service & Training, Technical Management, and Program Management.- Oversees, establishes, and implements processes, controls, and standards to ensure compliance with IDOC schedules and priorities.- Represents DoIT/IDOC at meetings, conferences, etc.- Serves as full line supervisor.- Analyzes resources allocated by policy, projects, programs, and work request making recommendations related to allocation of staff resources, equipment, and other needs to accomplish Department goals.- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing or telecommunications or directly related fields.- Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing or telecommunicationsin a public or business organization.- Requires three (3) years of professional experience supervising a team of Information Technology professionals in a large and highly complex public or private IT organization.
