Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Thoracic Surgery, APP Position Purpose: The Nurse Practitioner Specialty provides primary or acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. This position will be in the clinic supporting the surgeon and providing care to the thoracic surgery patients. Monday - Friday, day shift with no on-call duties. Minimum Requirements: u2022 Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program. u2022 Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio or Physician Assistant u2022 Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred u2022 BLS provider certification required u2022 ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments (see Exhibit A) u2022 Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required u2022 All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing. u2022 Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred u2022 Effective Communication Skills Position Highlights and Benefits: Competitive compensation and benefits packages including medical, dental, and vision with coverage starting on day one.
