Job Description Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsiblities Mission Support and Test Services (MSTS) is seeking a talented individual to support the emergency response assets of the Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSL) division, located on Nellis Air Force Base. The selected candidate will serve as an Emergency Response Specialist for the Emergency Response Support and Logistics (ERS&L) Department Readiness Section. Key Responsibilities + Manage, coordinate, and execute RSL tours and visits. Work with the Protocol office, RSL projects, Global Mission Communications, and other organizations as needed to accomplish these activities. + Perform an array of tasks associated with operations support for all radiological response teams. This will include a variety of complex tasks including training administration, outreach and exchange coordination, exercise planning and execution, and support to real-world operations. + Become a proficient user with the NA84 Asset Readiness Management System. + Assist with maintaining the Reachback Operations Center to ensure readiness for trainings, exercises, and real -world events. + Support Render Safe program as requested. + Serve as an emergency response team member and be available for recall 24 hours a day while on duty. Provide support during non-working hours when available. Assist with equipment preparation. + Maintain confidentiality and display a professional demeanor in daily activities. + Coordinate and prioritize conflicting and/or challenging deadlines. + Communicate on a regular basis with customers and stakeholders at various levels from numerous federal agencies + Exhibit a dedicated customer-service attitude and strive to provide excellent support to various stakeholders + Professionally interface and coordinate with program managers and other personnel at all levels from NNSA and the Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories + Develop and maintain relationships with other government agencies and external parties to facilitate exercise/drill requirements + Perform related work as assigned by the Readiness Section Manager and ERS&L Department Manager. Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s in related field or equivalent training and experience and at least 2 years of relevant experience. + Ability to use independent judgement, creativity, initiative, knowledge, and experience to resolve problems. + Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with proficient verbal and written communications capabilities. Must have the ability to interface professionally, internal, and external to the organization. + Ability to deal with pressure of handing multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints. + Ability to handle high-pressure situations, i.e. working in an emergency operations center supporting field team operations and federal customer requests. + Ability to remember procedures, terminology, schedules, emergency response events, and other details. + Must treat all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security. + Able to perform during non-working hours and take on-call duty. + Domestic travel may be required approximately 10% of the time. + A
