The Project Architect is responsible for overall project design and management under the direction and review by the Managing Director of Greenfield Architects, Ltd. This includes application of a high degree of design and technical skills, building code compliance, project administration, schedule, cost, and quality control.Greenfield Architects Ltd. was established in 1990 and brings unsurpassed experience in facility design, construction, and energy performance. We are committed to innovation, industry leadership, environmental stewardship, and helping meet the needs of our community.Responsibilities:Manage client relationship including proposal development, presentation, contract management, and client communicationInvolvement in the entire process from design phase to the end of constructionManage overall production of project design drawings and construction documents for commercial projects, multi-family residential, retail centers, medical offices, hotels, distribution, industrial/manufacturing/warehousing, college/universities, churches and more.Work independently in addition to collaborating in a team environmentEnsure customer satisfaction by coordinating and monitoring service for quality performanceManage construction administration of projects including bidding, shop drawings, RFIs, and periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with construction documentsManage and coordinate design team, including outside design firms/consultants, and inside resourcesUtilize understanding of building costs, and drivers of those costs, while managing the design process to produce a design representing a construction project that is within established cost parametersProduce proposals for design services with a high degree of success in competitive circumstances, and manage the production of design services within those estimated costsResponsible for the overall production of project design drawings and construction documentsManage projects anywhere from $2M to $80M dollars on an annual basisInitiate and implement process changes that lead to more cost-efficient product of design servicesMentor and train others in a team atmosphereCommunicate change concepts, engage in constructive discussions about change and impact thereof, and lead change initiatives as neededIdentify multiple solutions to a problem, and evaluate and determine which solutions are most effectiveUtilize creativity and innovation to think outside the box using an entrepreneurial spiritImportant Areas of Expertise:Licensed Architect, LEED BD + C preferredBachelor's degree in Architecture or a recognized branch of Architectural Engineering under a curriculum accredited by the NAAB and NCARB or related field7 or more years of Architectural firm experienceMultifamily experience preferredRevit proficiency required, AutoCAD proficiency preferred.Proficiency with the following software preferred: Microsoft Planner, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam RevuDemonstrated high order of architectural competence, both as an individual and as a leader in the team effortWorking for Greenfield Architects:Greenfield Architects Ltd. offers a competitive benefit package:Tuition Assistance with 100 percent reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs which are job related and approved in advance by your supervisorEmployee Assistance Program provides professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal issue you or your eligible dependents are experiencingExcellent benefits including medical, dental and vision available for full-time coworkers and family.
