About this Role - Estimator/Excavating Division Weare looking for a talented Estimator who has a passion for qualityconstruction. This position leads the development of technical scope ofwork and independently develop cost estimates and resource requirementsfor various types of Electric Utility civil access, grading, and ductbank construction projects. What You'll Do -Assist with the request forproposal preparation and evaluations, project specifications, andpricing schedules -Prepare pre-approval project estimates based onlimited information and general scopes of work, often lacking specificprecedence -Develop detailed post-approval project estimates based oncompany standards and site-specific facility drawings -Assist with theassembly of the project proposal to include supporting documents, bidforms, project schedules and review of the final proposal beforesubmittal -Schedule and hold comprehensive bid reviews with uppermanagement, project managers and field personnel to cover scope, reviewcosts, subcontractors, and Risk due to lack of information in certainareas -Provide expert judgment of costs to support competitive bid andnegotiated contracts, assist with technical requirements in contractnegotiations as needed -Assist with the development of standardizedhistorical cost databases and application tools to aid future estimates-Provide oversight, coordination, management support and technicalexpertise for all aspects of electrical construction projects in theutility market -Review scope, specifications, and drawings to determinesubcontractor(s) needed.
