Laboratory Support Technician III

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Perform all tissue culture related laboratory dutiesrequired for Monoclonal Antibody Production. Responsibilities: Usesterile technique to perform dilutions and expansions of customer celllines. Perform sterile techniques for cell expansion Freezing cellstocks. Counting cells for preparation of cell inoculum. Preparingbuffers, tissue culture media and other solutions. Strictly adhere toBPS Standard Operating Procedures when performing all laboratoryfunctions. Keep accurate records, following strict guidelines whenfilling out paperwork and batch records for individual production runs.Experience with lab equipment such as centrifuges, incubators, pipettes,etc. Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Accuratelyenter all required information into the computer databases. Clean anddisinfect rooms and equipment according to BPS guidelines. Maintainroutine laboratory supplies at adequate levels. Maintain liquid nitrogenstorage tanks, including tracking of cell banks and addition of liquidnitrogen as needed. Communicate with Group Leader and/or Supervisor whenany deviation from established procedures or routines occurs. Performother duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be able to follow verbalinstructions and written Standard Operating Procedures. Must be able toperform mathematical calculations required for preparation of cellinoculum. Must have manual dexterity to handle various laboratoryinstruments and perform laboratory procedures with care. Must be able toaccurately complete records in compliance with Federal cGMP guidelinesand enter data into a computer database. Must be observant and payattention to detail. Must be dependable, punctual and be available forweekend work and overtime as required. Science background and experiencein microbiology or tissue culture propagation utilizing steriletechniques is preferred. This position could be offered at differentlevels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levelsof education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjustalong with the level of the role to match the person's relevantexperience and/or education level.
