Senior Electrical Estimator-- Western US

Jacobs is currently seeking candidates to fill the Senior Electrical and I&C Estimator role. You will be responsible for developing construction cost estimates for buildings/vertical construction, water/wastewater, pump stations and power projects. We will ask you to apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of conceptual estimates when minimal design drawing and information are available.We'll be considering qualified candidates who reside in the Western region of U.S.A.Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow.#LI-HA1Principal Duties and Responsibilities:u2022 Develop conceptual and detail construction cost estimates for all electrical and instrumentation and controls (I&C) systemsu2022 Will interpret plans & specifications from multiple design phases; program, conceptual, design development through 100% Construction Documents and into change orders and generate quantity takeoffs and pricing for all systems.u2022 Familiar with techniques, procedures, methods and the nature of the applicable civil, structural and architectural construction systems.u2022 Ability to develop work breakdown structure for complex projects to provide clear and logical cost estimatesu2022 Ability to write Basis of Estimate to accurately describe the estimating methodology and assumptions.u2022 Ability to generate quantity takeoffs and calculate costs using labor rates, production rates, material pricing schedules and historical datau2022 Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendorsu2022 Understand construction market trends and the implications for estimatingu2022 Contribute to risk analysis, value engineering and constructability exercises.u2022 Prepares and maintains historical cost datau2022 Contribute to Risk Analyses, Value Engineering, and Constructability exercisesu2022 Creates cost models for estimating elementsu2022 Assists lead estimator with reporting functions and assembly of project deliverables u2022 10 plus years of electrical/Instrumentation and controls estimating experience in a related industryu2022 Proficient in the use of standard office computer systems such as MS Project, PDF file editor programs, Bluebeam etc.u2022 Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and drawings.u2022 Ability to perform a quality Quantity Survey from available documents and apply cost factors to calculate a unit price.u2022 Experience in conceptual estimatingu2022 Experience from the oil and gas industry is a plusu2022 Past experience with
