AVP, Bus Fare Enforcement Job ID: 13650 Business Unit: New York City Transit Location: Brooklyn, NY, United States Regular/Temporary: Regular Department: Security Date Posted: Feb 5, 2026 Description Job Information: Title: AVP, Bus Fare Enforcement First Date of Posting: 02/05/2026 Last Date of Filing: 02/10/2026 Authority: TA/OA Department: Security Division/Unit: Bus Fare Enforcement / Eagle Teams Reports to: Vice President Work Location: Various Hours of Work: As required Compensation: Salary Range: $165,000- $195,000 Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all fare enforcement activities within the New York City Transit system. In addition, this position will develop and implement plans to protect New York City Transit properties and its employees against terrorism, theft, vandalism and other crimes in subway yards and lay up areas. The position will also oversee the protection services for the executive staff. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, interacting with the New Fare Payment System and the technology being developed; the research and development of new technologies to issue and track Transit Adjudication Bureau (TAB) summonses; oversee the recruitment, training and deployment of Fare Enforcement Agents (FEA), Special Inspectors (SI), Special Inspector Supervisors (SIS) and other security personnel. The position will forecast budgetary requirements for expansions of the team and develop cost effective ways to streamline personnel and equipment to optimize deployment and enforcement. The position will develop an integrity and quality monitoring program within the team to ensure optimization. Education and Experience: + A bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college in public administration, finance, systems analysis and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a security environment, including five (5) years in a managerial / supervisory capacity for or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience; or + A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience. Desired Skills: Experience working in security environment is preferred. Experience in fare enforcement and writing tickets. Familiarity with local laws, NYCT rules, regulations and procedures Selection Method: Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
