Production Leader Operator- C shift Rochester, NY ( Job Type Full-time Description Alliance Precision Plastics , a custom injection molder, seeks an off-shift Lead responsible for assisting the operators to accomplish departmental goals. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (List necessary responsibilities) u00b7 Perform job duties to achieve production goals; including ability to operate and monitor injection molding machines, including automated, as required to complete jobs. u00b7 Assist in training operators in orientation, quality systems and production requirements including all required paperwork and reports, including test of understanding. u00b7 Communicate shift cross-over with incoming and outgoing personnel reviewing notes, issues and concerns u00b7 Makes boxes and assures that operators have the necessary materials and supplies to run production. u00b7 Trains and monitors work and quality throughout molding areas. Assists with break and lunch relief and assists operators with packaging, components, etc. as necessary. u00b7 Performs one (1) physical count per shift on all running jobs. Evaluate discrepancies, notify Supervisor of significant discrepancies, and adjust computer reports as needed. u00b7 Move production from running jobs as necessary and document quantity on Product Transfer form. May be responsible for additional forms and document requirements. u00b7 Enter scrap from operator labor tickets into the computer system: minimum of two (2) times per shift and enter balance at the end of the shift. Identify entered scrap on labor tickets by circling or hi-lighting. u00b7 Follow through on all jobs, which may include assure jobs are complete, perform or assist with count verification on completed jobs, data entry into the system, process documentation on appropriate forms or systems, return files to QA. u00b7 Must be able to work well as a team member with co-workers, interact well with peers, support company initiatives and maintain a high level of leadership and confidentiality at all times. u00b7 Must be able to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to safety. u00b7 Must be able to work overtime and outside normal working hours to accommodate production needs when required. u00b7 Performs related duties as directed. Requirements + Requires HS diploma or GED + Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing or Assembly (1-3 years preferred). + Plastic injection molding knowledge is helpful but not required. + Ability to deal effectively with a diverse workgroup. + Must possess strong communication skills both verbal and written. + Must be able to work outside normal working hours, when required to accommodate departmental needs. + Attendance is critical as is being on time. + Math skills and analytical thinking and problem solving required. Salary Description 18.00-21.00
