Direct Support Floater (Overnight) JOB TITLE: Direct Support Floater (Overnight) PAY GRADE: $18/hour FSLA: Non-Exempt DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Living Hope Treatment Center/Inpatient, New Life House, Williamson-Tuckahoe Community Residence SUPERVISOR: Per Diem Supervisor Job Summary: The Direct Support Relief Overnight Floater provides essential support across multiple programs and locations by filling in for staffing needs during overnight shifts wherever the need is greatest. This role ensures consistency of care, safety, and supervision of youth and adults in recovery and educational settings. The Overnight Floater may assist with client care and adapting quickly to different environments and program expectations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Provide direct support, supervision, and engagement for youth and adults in various program settings. + Assist with daily routines, therapeutic activities, and structured programming to ensure a safe, supportive, and positive environment. + Promote client safety by monitoring behavior, maintaining cleanliness, and intervening in crisis situations using approved de-escalation techniques. + Support program staff with intake/admissions, orientation, and client transition activities. + Escort and transport clients as needed between activities, appointments, or program areas. + Provide educational and behavioral support in school settings under the direction of teaching staff. + Provide medication support and assistance to the clients/youth within the program. Page Break + Model appropriate behavior and serve as a positive role model for youth and adults. + Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision to maintain compliance with agency policies and state regulations. + Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and incidents as required. + Demonstrate cultural competency, respect, and understanding of individuals from diverse backgrounds. + Fulfills all legal requirements as a Mandated Reporter under NYS law and professional ethical standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + High School Diploma or GED required. + Previous experience in human services, education, or healthcare strongly preferred. + CPR certification required (training provided if not currently certified). + Valid NYS Driveru2019s License required. + Must be flexible, dependable, and able to work in a variety of program environments. + Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to manage crisis situations with professionalism and composure. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: + Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb stairs. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in client care activities when necessary. + Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and physically intervene using agency- approved techniques.
