Accounting Intern

Job Descriptions: Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance. This is a full-time, paid summer internship that provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment. Outstanding performance during the summer internship may lead to a potential Co-op position for the remainder of the year. Position Description: As an Accounting Intern, you will support the accounting team with a variety of tasks, including processing vendor invoices, reviewing employee expense reports, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and identifying and resolving financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Key Responsibilities: + Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking. + Assist in preparing and maintaining account reconciliations. + Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records. + Assist with special projects or process improvement initiatives as assigned. Required Experience: Qualifications: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (experience with Costpoint is a plus). + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. + Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Required Education and Experience: + Candidate must be currently enrolled in a Bacheloru2019s program, majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Physical Requirements: + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. + Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. + Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizationu2019s facilities.
