Your Mission: As a Linux Information Systems Administrator, Staff your responsibilities will include: u2022 Technical Support: Provide expert assistance to users in resolving technical issues with applications, connectivity, and other IT-related concerns. u2022 Cybersecurity Expertise: Conduct environmental vulnerability scans, remediate vulnerabilities, and perform system hardening to ensure the security of our systems. u2022 Root Cause Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to resolve technical issues in Linux environments, identifying and addressing the root causes of problems. u2022 System Performance Optimization: Analyze and assess server performance, storage capacity, and plan for future needs to ensure optimal system performance. u2022 Scripting and Automation: Leverage your scripting skills to automate routine tasks, such as server and workstation patching, and streamline IT processes. u2022 Asset Management: Oversee the management and control of Lockheed Martin assets and software, ensuring compliance with company policies. Together, we'll make history and leave a lasting impact on the future of Classified IT services Lockheed Martin provides the resources and the flexibility to enable inspiration and focus If you have the passion and courage to dream big, work hard, and have fun doing what you love then we want to build a better tomorrow with you Basic Qualifications: u2022 Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required at this facility) u2022 Ability to lift 30 pounds u2022 Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572 qualified certificate (or obtain within the first 60 days of employment) u2022 Experience performing successful root cause analysis for problem resolution in Unix and Linux environments, with significant experience in: u2022 Installing operating routine server/workstation patches, system security patches and firmware updates u2022 Creating / managing security groups u2022 Coordinating hardware repair activities u2022 Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software problems/issues u2022 Creating scripts to automate system administration tasks u2022 Creating / editing Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation u2022 Vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management [i.e., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP, HBSS]) Desired Skills: u2022 CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ certifications u2022 Working knowledge of Hyper-V or VMware u2022 Proficiency in working with OpenStack components and services u2022 Proficiency in working with AWS Cloud components and services u2022 Experience with RKE2, Rancher, Longhorn, and Docker containers u2022 Proficiency in various operating systems, such as Linux/Unix, Windows Server u2022 Understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) u2022 Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices u2022 Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management u2022 Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate repetitive tasks u2022 Understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions u2022 Troubleshooting hardware issues and coordinating with vendors for support u2022 Experience with operational ground systems u2022 Be a team player and work in a collaborative team environment u2022 Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment u2022 Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic u2022 Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
