Structural Welder Journeyman

Requisition ID: 177932 Position Summary Plan, lay-out, weld, install, and repair all types of structural steel products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards. Experience Level Intermediate Primary Responsibilities and Duties u2022 Set-up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures u2022 Preheat and weld metal components as specified by blue prints, welding symbols, job specifications, or welding procedures. u2022 Weld various processes FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW u2022 Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment u2022 Make welding repairs and substandard welds Qualifications u2022May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. u2022Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position. u2022Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. u2022Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently. Requirements u2022Able to meet all physical requirements. u2022Must have all required tools u2022Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft) u2022Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions u2022Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload u2022Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
