Job Summary Reports To: Vice President, Food Safety & Quality Assurance Location: Remote (Preferred: Midwest or West Coast) Travel: Up to 65% The Opportunity Canteen is seeking a proactive, highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to help lead and strengthen Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs across multiple business lines. This role is ideal for a confident FSQA professional who thrives in the field, builds credibility quickly, and enjoys coaching teams while driving consistent, compliant execution. As a key partner to operations, you will validate programs where the work happensu2014inside dining locations and food distribution warehousesu2014while helping shape future improvements at scale. How Youu2019ll Make an Impact + Serve as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting field teams through handsu2011on guidance and problemu2011solving + Conduct onu2011site FSQA assessments to evaluate program implementation, identify gaps, and provide actionable coaching + Support customer complaint investigations and recall communications as needed + Troubleshoot complex FSQA issues in both dining and warehouse environments + Develop and contribute to Quality Assessment Reports and enhancements to FSQA programs + Support the design and delivery of engaging training initiatives for field associates + Manage multiple projects and priorities with precision and accountability + Partner crossu2011functionally while working independently with energy and professionalism + Perform additional FSQA initiatives as assigned by the Vice President of FSQA What You Bring + Bacheloru2019s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related bioscience field + 5+ years of leadership or management experience in food safety, quality assurance, operations, or regulatory roles + Strong working knowledge of FDA and USDA/FSIS regulations + Familiarity with GFSI audit schemes (SQF, BRC, IFS, ISO 22000) + Proven ability to communicate and coach effectively across technical and nonu2011technical teams + Strong data analysis, reporting, and technical writing skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms Associates at Canteen are offered many fantastic benefits.
