What Youu2019ll Do: u2022 Review inclusion/exclusion criteria with patients to ensure eligibility to participate in study. Interact with Principal Investigator for inclusion/exclusion review of patient data. Review and witness the consenting process for subjects. Prepare study-specific documents for applicable study visit. u2022 Ensure the safety of patients by monitoring and assessing AEs, if any, and communicating potentially serious findings to investigators. u2022 Perform all procedures in the treatment areas (i.e., check-ins, administration of drug, blood draws, ECGs, vital signs, etc.). u2022 Monitor staff to assure adherence to GCP, ICH, FDA, and OSHA guidelines. u2022 Attend initiation meetings when necessary to obtain study process clarification. u2022 Monitor and continuously evaluates the overall research experience of each patient to assure a positive experience. u2022 Perform other study-related duties as qualified by documented training. Education and Experience: u2022 ADN from an accredited institution/active RN or LVN license to practice u2022 1 year experience as RN or LVN u2022 Technical positions may require a certificate u2022 Previous experience to provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 6 years). Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: u2022 Ability to work well in a team environment and interact with all levels of staff, clients, and subjects in a positive and professional manner u2022 Strong planning and organizational capabilities to manage multiple tasks and study groups at one time u2022 Basic computer skills, good handwriting and attention to detail u2022 Willingness and ability to administer investigational drugs or test investigational devices intravenously, topically, or by other approved methods of dosing u2022 Willingness and ability to learn and perform a variety of technical procedures such as drawing blood, processing and harvesting lab specimens, taking vital signs, performing ECGs, etc. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Ability to respond to medical emergency scenarios, in accordance with ACLS guidance, established emergency protocols, and Investigator instructions Working Conditions and Environment: u2022 Work is performed in an office or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment u2022 Occasional drives to site locations. Potential Occasional travel required u2022 Frequent long hours, weekends and/or holidays u2022 Exposure to blood and biohazardous waste u2022 Be available by cell phone after hours u2022 Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions Physical Requirements: u2022 Frequently stationary for 4-6 hours per day. u2022 Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. u2022 Frequent mobility required. u2022 Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck. u2022 Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. u2022 Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. u2022 Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. u2022 May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information. Interaction includes diverse groups. u2022 Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration. u2022 Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
