Job Summary The Radiology Aide at Prevea Health assists theradiology department by preparing patients for procedures, assistingtechnologists, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.What you will do Room radiology patients by greeting the patient in thewaiting room, showing them to the changing room, instructing them on howto change for the exam, taking patients history and transportingpatients to exam rooms. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be withininfection control standards by following proper cleaning protocols.Ensure appropriate levels of supplies for each room by stocking andordering when needed. Record, process, and maintain patient data withinthe electronic medical record and Picture Archiving and CommunicationSystem (PACS). Including the importing of outside images into PACS andmake appropriate changes/merges. Burn CD's for patient's continuingcare and enter Release Of Information Use radiation safety measures andprotection devises to comply with government regulations to ensure thesafety of patients and staff Schedule and check in patients as theyarrive. This can include verifying necessary information. Enter x-rayorders into Radiant (RIS) Maintain General Imaging & Mammographyschedule, looking up prior exams in various data bases, and requestingoutside studies when necessary Prepare x-rays/CD's to be sent to otherPrevea sites and outside facilities using proper consent forms EducationQualifications High School Diploma and/or GED Required ExperienceQualifications 1-3 years Experience in customer service, insuranceand/or healthcare setting Preferred Skills and Abilities Workindependently or as a team player with a caring attitude for patientsand co-workers Medical terminology related to radiology is desired.Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safework environment. Fosters work and patient relationships throughexcellent interpersonal skills and behaviors. Ability to prioritize workand meet changing demands.
