Assistant Chief Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Assistant Chief Engineer will assist withoverseeing the day to day operations of the Engineering Department andis responsible for the maintenance of all broadcast technology andequipment at the station and transmitter sites. Job Description Assistsin managing all aspects of the Engineering Department Maintains allbroadcast technology and equipment for the station and transmitter sitesEnsures station compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC,local, state, and federal, laws Works closely with Chief Engineer toimplement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the stationAssists with managing engineering and technology capital projects to theestablished budgets. Manages and coordinates fiber connectivity,production setups, A/V routing and patching, audio equipment, networkingsystems, graphics systems and editing systems Evaluates, selects,installs, services and maintains station equipment and informationtechnology systems Repairs and maintains station buildinginfrastructures Assists in maintaining station vehicle fleet, includinglive satellite truck Communicates with and coordinates equipmentmaintenance and training with vendors/contractors Performs other dutiesas assigned OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements& Skills: Associate Degree in Electronics, Communications, or equivalentcombination of education and work-related experience preferred Minimumthree years' experience with a television broadcasting environment Havean IT/Networking support background.
