What We Are Looking For The Operations Planner (OP) leads the development of comprehensive operational plans that support large scale debris management and disaster recovery missions. This role translates mission objectives into executable mobilization, logistics, routing, and sectoring plans while balancing GIS inputs, environmental considerations, resource constraints, and evolving incidents. This role fits within Operations and works closely with leadership to plan safe, efficient, and compliant field operations. Success in 12 months includes delivering accurate planning products, anticipating resource needs, supporting multi region activations, and maintaining operational readiness. What You Will Do Operational Planning and Execution u2022 Develop, maintain, and update mobilization, demobilization, staging, sectoring, and routing plans for assigned missions. u2022 Design resource allocation models and surge strategies for simultaneous multi region operations. u2022 Conduct scenario planning, operational phasing, and mission flow projections. u2022 Support transitions between operational phases such as initial response, sustained operations, and closeout. Documentation, Reporting, and Leadership Support u2022 Produce mission ready planning documents for inclusion in PMPs, PgMPs, and operational annexes. u2022 Develop briefing materials, dashboards, and summaries for leadership decision making. u2022 Provide analytical support including operational risk assessments and performance metrics. Required Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Planning, Engineering, GIS, Logistics, Emergency Management, or related field. u2022 Minimum 7 years of experience in operations planning, logistics, emergency management, or debris operations. u2022 Experience supporting rapid mobilization, high tempo execution, or large scale field operations. u2022 Proficiency with GIS, operational modeling, and planning frameworks. u2022 Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications u2022 FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800. u2022 AICP, PMP, or related professional certification. What to Expect The Operations Planner works in a fast paced environment supporting dynamic disaster response missions. You will translate evolving operational needs into actionable plans, anticipate bottlenecks, and drive mission readiness. Work includes building planning documentation, developing surge strategies, and coordinating with cross functional teams. Field deployments may occur depending on mission needs.
