Your work is essential to ensure that our teams have the technical knowledge and safety practices needed for building, maintaining, and repairing underground telecommunications infrastructure. You will share your expertise by traveling to different job sites to connect classroom learning with real-world work. Connecting you to great benefits + Weekly Paychecks + Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays + Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) + 401(k) w/ Company Match + Stock Purchase Plan + Education Reimbursement + Legal Insurance + Discounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more What youu2019ll do + Conduct comprehensive instruction (classroom, practical lab, and on-the-job) on all aspects of fiber optic operations, including Single Mode, Multi-mode, Ribbon, and Hollow Core + Instruct technicians on industry best practices for splicing, handling, pulling, and slack manipulation across aerial, buried, and ISP environments + Independently coordinate travel (50% - 75%) to regional centers and job sites, managing schedules and local site coordination to ensure training efficiency + Serve as a leader in Dycomu2019s safety culture by training rigorously on OSHA and company regulations, performing on-site safety audits, and ensuring adherence to underground infrastructure protocols + Create technically accurate training materials and practical evaluations adaptable for various field environments and adult learner needs + Evaluate technician performance through written exams and field evaluations, providing real-time remediation and constructive feedback + Partner with Training and Field Operations management to identify skill gaps and report training results using mobile and remote platforms + Keep current on the latest fiber tools, equipment, and technological advancements to ensure training remains best-in-class What youu2019ll need + To be 18 years of age or older + Authorization to work in the United States for this company + Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Fiber Optic Cable Operations and underground/aerial plant construction + Demonstrated experience training or mentoring diverse groups, with the ability to adapt instructional methods to local operational needs + Highly organized with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and manage complex travel logistics independently + A valid driveru2019s license and an excellent driving record are mandatory. Class A CDL is preferred + Experience utilizing mobile technology and remote conferencing tools for administrative reporting while on the road + Preferred Certifications: Prior OSHA 10/30 or confined space entry certifications Physical abilities & exposures + Routinely: Drive long distances or fly to remote locations; work in outdoor field conditions across various weather patterns + Extensively: Travel 50% - 75% (up to 100% during peak periods) including overnight stays + Physically Demand: Ability to perform and demonstrate underground tasks, including working in trenches and confined spaces Why grow your career with us Your career here is more than just a job u2014 it's your pathway to opportunity.
