The department collaborates with radiologists and clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality imaging while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and effective clinical outcomes.Job Description:- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides health care services using radioisotopes to assist in diagnosis of cardiac specific pathologies.- Performs Nuclear Medicine related procedures specific to MPI, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for the interpretation by a cardiologist.- Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.- Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.Requirements:- Satisfactory completion of an education program in Nuclear Medicine.- Current license with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or certificate with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).- Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.- Current Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry required.
