Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma orGED Wood working, wood finishing or auto body and painting experience ina technical environment or completion of Technical Certificate incabinet making preferred. and/or completion in current year youthapprenticeship program, in area of expertise. Position Purpose: Withdirect supervision, learns and performs the basic skills and functionsrelated to aircraft cabinet finish preparation and application processesusing design and engineering drawings. Job Description Principle Dutiesand Responsibilities: Essential Functions: With direct supervisionlearns entry-level technical skills and knowledge, regulatoryrequirements and tooling used in the Cabinet Finish shop. Continues todevelop technical competency and problem solving abilities to allowprogression to the technician level. Using standard safety and operatingprocedures, design/engineering drawings, tools and other materials(sandpaper, polishes, adhesives, solvents, masking mediums), developsproficiency in the preparation and finish of furniture. . Use thematerial tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and tosign-off work. Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies,uses personal protective equipment; ensures aircraft interior isprotected (PTP). Assists in the development and implementation ofrelated initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. OtherRequirements: The ability to read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish language. Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in smallrestricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift. Must becomputer literate. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understandthe English language. This job requires one to be able to read, write,speak, and understand the English language.
