The Lockheed Martin Space Mission Integration: Analysis and Assessments team is seeking a Strategic Operations Research Analyst III (SORA) to tackle complex mission analysis problems in support of future satellite architectures. The teams provides physics-based technical analysis to identify and validate the viability of future satellite constellations while also assisting in the design of next generation system-of-system architectures in support of national security, commercial, and civil mission areas. Summary of Key Duties: In this role you willu2026 u2022 Support development of orbital, payload, and network comms mission analysis tools and algorithms, build and run mission scenarios for satellite constellations, and analyze next generation space constellation architectures. u2022 Leverage a broad knowledge base and spacecraft design experience to bring new ideas and analyses to studies, trades, proposals, and programs to facilitate new business for Lockheed Martin. u2022Interact with external and internal clients / stakeholders with opportunities to lead analysis efforts focused on the next generation of space-based capabilities Are you a curious and innovative system thinker with a passion for learning and growth? If you're a problem-solver at heart, with a knack for analyzing complex issues and finding innovative solutions by thinking out of the box, we want to hear from you Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Aerospace Engineering, Physics, etc.), or equivalent experience/combined education u2022 Familiar with programming and scripting using MATLAB, Python, or a similar high-level language u2022 Experience in the space mission area u2022 Analytical & systems-thinking mindset u2022 Must have an active TOP SECRET clearance with an investigation in the last five years and the ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Satellite sub-system design or systems engineering experience u2022 Experience with mission modeling and simulation tools, such as STK or AFSIM u2022 Experience with algorithm development u2022 Experience with orbital analysis u2022 Experience with network comms u2022 Experience with reliability analysis u2022 Experience with mission management u2022 Experience with RF payloads u2022 Experience with MATLAB tool development u2022 Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills u2022 Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully between multiple engineering disciplines u2022 Strong communication and teamwork skills u2022 Active TS/SCI Clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
